Newlywed mum-to-be Kelly Clarkson is taking a crash cooking course so she can become the perfect housewife - and she has called on country star-turned-Tv chef Trisha Yearwood for some kitchen tips.

The Since U Been Gone singer wed Brandon Blackstock last month (Oct13) and recently announced she's pregnant, so now Clarkson is planning ahead to become the ideal wife and mum.

The singer called on Yearwood, who hosts her own Food Network cooking show in America, for advice - and the star, who is married to Garth Brooks, invited her onto the holiday edition of her popular programme.

Clarkson prepared stuffed pork chops on Yearwood's cooking show, Trisha's Southern Kitchen, which first aired on Saturday (23Nov13), and she told the hostess, "I'm 31 years old - I should be able to cook!"

And when Yearwood, who is also a published cookery book author, asked her guest to chop some parsley, nervous Clarkson said, "If I screw this up, I'm sorry. I just started cooking, don't judge me!"
