NICOLE SHERZINGER has been confirmed as the latest person to join the ever-revolving X Factor judging panel, taking over from former judge Kelly Rowland.
Despite being unceremoniously axed from her role on the American version of the hit talent show after just one series, the former Pussycat Dolls member looks ready to put that behind her as she takes on the role on the original English version.
The singer and girlfriend of F1 driving ace Lewis Hamilton has been on the show before, when she was a stand-in judge at the London auditions last month. She had previously been a guest judge during auditions on the show in the last series, but now looks to make her appearances a more permanent feature. She will begin her run as a full-time judge when the auditions go to Newcastle this Monday (18th).
Following the axing of Rowland after last series ITV have been in a long search for a full-time replacement, relying on guest judges for past auditions. Recent auditions have seen former Spice Girls, Geri Halliwell and Mel B behind the judge's table, as well as newcomer Rita Ora, singer Anastacia and the first X Factor winner Leona Lewis as guest judges, along with Miss Scherzinger.
