After much speculation over whether or not he would make an appearance, it has been confirmed that Henry Cavill will show up at this weekend's Comic-Con. Cavill is the actor playing DC Comic's superhero Superman in the forthcoming Man of Steel. Until now, the Comic-Con schedule refused to give much away about the Man of Steel panel in Hall H tomorrow (July 14, 2012). The only words attributed to the panel thus far have simply been 'Man of Steel.'
However, the Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Cavill will indeed be putting in an appearance, which will be a huge draw for fans of the comic book hero. All the attendees of the event were aware of was that the movie's director, Zack Snyder would be there to chat about the forthcoming movie. He'll be accompanied by Henry, though other big names from the movie, such as Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe are not expected to attend. The movie, which is scheduled for release in June 2013, will star Cavill as the central dual role of superhero Superman and lay-man Clark Kent, with Amy Adams taking on the iconic role of Lois Lane.
The Man of Steel seminar will be one of the most popular over the Comic Con convention. Warners have also revealed that Sir Ian McKellan will be attending the panel for The Hobbit and Guillermo Del Toro will be a huge draw for Pacific Rim. Both panels have been preceded by the release of tantalising movie posters and their panels will be big talking points of the 2012 seminar.
