Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have become the latest victims of swatting.

Armed police swarmed the Los Angeles home of the couple - who married in 2009 - on Friday (10.05.13), after receiving a call claiming Lamar had been shot by a friend inside the house after an argument.

However, according to TMZ, when the cops arrived at the scene, the basketball player was at home alone and unharmed.

Khloe and Lamar aren't the only celebrities to fall victim to swatting, police were recently called to Russell Brand's home after a false claim there was a man with a gun on the property, although he admitted he probably would have done something similar when he was younger.

Russell said: ''If all swatting attacks are this unnoticeable I'm ready for war because I didn't even know it had happened, I still don't know what a swatting attack is!

''I wasn't [there] I was out. There's always some helicopters and police at my house anyway because of my involvement in other activities so I didn't notice any additional ones.

''Swatting, I don't like the word very much. Swatting, obviously what you do to insects or a passing bottom.

''I think if I I were a teenager I'd definitely do it, but what would be bad would be if the police were attending a swatting and then an actual crime happened and it took the police too long to get there because they were doing a swatting but other than that it sounds like a laugh.''

Last month, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Diddy all fell victim to similar pranks.
