Kings Of Leon appear to be in disarray after abandoning a concert with three songs remaining before cancelling another entirely. The band failed to complete a gig in Dallas on Friday (29th July 2011) after singer Caleb Followill left the stage, telling the sold-out crowd, "I'm trying to sing but I haven't got a voice, I've got nothing", reports Bbc News
Although Caleb denied alcohol was to blame, cousin Jared told the crowd, "I don't know what to say. It's not our fault. It's Caleb. He can't play". The official reason was that Caleb was suffering from "heat exhaustion and dehydration" causing his "vocal chords to seize", and the band cancelled a gig at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, Texas, the following night. Despite the statement, bassist Jared took to his Twitter to tell followers, "There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed", before adding, "I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade". The band have rescheduled the gig in Cynthia Woods for September and are due to continue their tour of US in Tampa, Florida, on Tuesday (2nd August 2011).
Kings Of Leon released their fifth studio album 'Come Around Sundown' in 2010. The band received a Grammy Award nomination for best rock song, for 'Radioactive'.
