Swedish pop icons Abba and rockers Genesis and The Stooges will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2010.
The stars, along with Jamaican reggae artist Jimmy Cliff and 1960s British rock group The Hollies, were unveiled as the latest honorees on Tuesday (15Dec09).
They will be inducted into the Cleveland, Ohio hall alongside record company executive David Geffen, and songwriters including Otis Blackwell and Jesse Stone.
The acts will be honoured at the 25th annual induction ceremony on 15 March (10) in New York.
Nominations for the prestigious accolades were announced in September (09) - rockers Kiss and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and rapper LL Cool J failed to make the cut.
