Keira Knightley's marriage is ''alright''.

The 'Begin Again' actress appeared surprised to learn her and James Righton's wedding anniversary is just a few days away but says all is well in their relationship.

Reminded by E! News that she celebrates a year of marriage on May 4, Keira looked surprised and replied: ''Oh yeah, is it?''

She was then asked how the couple's first year as man and wife has been and she replied: ''We're still together so it must have been alright.''

The 29-year-old beauty admitted her Klaxons musician spouse tried to teach her to play guitar for her role in 'Begin Again', but their lessons didn't go too well and were quickly aborted because she wasn't ''very good''.

She said: ''He tried to teach me how to play the guitar and I tried not to kill him--so that was about it. And he stopped trying to teach me the guitar 'cause I'm not very good at it.''

The 'Anna Karenina' actress recently admitted she struggles to stay in touch with her friends and family when working on a film because of her ''extreme'' lifestyle.

She said: ''When I'm not working it's really about seeing as many friends as possible and making sure I'm there in their lives. The way I work is extreme. You can't really have a personal life if you're working on films all the time. There's Skype, but, really, there's just no way of doing it.

''The hours are so long, you're always in a different country, you're always doing a different thing.''
