Kottonmouth Kings frontman Daddy X is locked in a $15 million (£9.4 million) legal battle with the co-founder of his record label amid allegations his former business partner illegally took funds from company accounts.

The rap rocker has accused Kevin Zinger of boosting his earnings by taking $600,000 (£375,000) more than his agreed salary for over five years and using their label, Subnoize Records, to shift items from his clothing line - without any benefit to the firm.

Daddy X, real name Brad Xavier, parted ways with Subnoize last year (13) due to tensions between himself and Zinger, which reportedly escalated after he asked to view the finances for the firm in 2011, but never received them.

However, Zinger has fired back at Daddy X's allegations in a lengthy YouTube.com video, denying all allegations.

In the footage, Zinger reveals he has "not tried to hold back anything" from Daddy X, insisting he has had access to all accounting documents for the past six months.

He continues, "The Kottonmouth Kings' business manager for all of these years... has been the one who has oversaw (sic) our books and filed our tax returns. If Kevin Zinger was really stealing money and doing all this shady s**t that Brad is accusing me of doing, why would I have the Kottonmouth Kings' business manager be our accountant...? What other person could I put in place to have checks and balances than the business manager of Brad's band and Brad's personal business manager...? The reality is this person has been in place for a very long time so how was I able to pull off this master grand scheme when Brad's guy was in place overseeing all of our financial information? I mean, do the math!"
