Kourtney Kardashian sets ''boundaries'' to protect her family from criticism.

The 35-year-old beauty, who has three children - Mason, five, Penelope, two, and three-month-old son Reign - with long-term partner Scott Disick, has revealed she makes a conscious effort to ringfence her family from negativity.

Asked how she deals with unflattering coverage of her family, Kourtney responded: ''I try to keep all the negative stories away from my family.

''I make sure I set boundaries and prioritise! My family always comes first.''

In a Q&A with Facebook, Kourtney also revealed how her children and her sister Kim's baby, North West, inspired their clothing line.

She said: ''We always have all of out design meetings together and are constantly sending each other pictures that inspire us for the line.

''Doing this has been a dream of mine for years! We actually opened a kids store about 10 years ago and I've always dreamed of having a line for kids.

''My biggest inspiration is my own children and my niece and what they are into.''

Kourtney said the most pleasing aspect of designing clothes is seeing other people wearing the items.

She said: ''My favourite thing about being a designer is seeing other children in our pieces, it's so rewarding!''
