Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce has already lasted far too long, given the pair were only married for 72 days and had a rock-solid prenuptial agreement signed, though with speculation that the New Jersey Nets star wants to put "reality television" in the dock, things could drag on for a while longer yet.
Their respective lawyers faced off in court on Wednesday (August 15, 2012), with Humphries attorney complaining that 'Team Kim Kardashian' had been delaying the process (Though we're not sure what their motive would be). Marshall Waller told the judge, according to E! News, "I don't want to use the word uncooperative, but they are not making the process easier". Kim's attorney - the divorce 'queen' Laura Wasser - immediately countered, reminding Mr Waller that not only had they spent $250,000 on legal fees, but that they'd be wholly cooperative throughout the entire saga, adding, "To say I am frustrated is an understatement.I'm at a loss to figure out what the holdup is. They had a pre-nup and were married 72 days. To what end does he want this annulment?". The couple married on August 20, 2011, though Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31, 2012, citing irreconcilable differences. A month later, Kris Humphries requested a legal separation or an annulment claiming the reality star defrauded him by agreeing to marry simply for bigger television ratings and publicity.
The basketball star's lawyer plans to call Kim's mother Kris Jenner as a witness, as well as her rapper boyfriend KANYE WEST.
