The Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries divorce just got a whole lot uglier, after it was announced Humphries' lawyer intends to put the trial on television, which is in-keeping with California's law for high profile cases.
According to Tmz.com, sources say Kris and his lawyer Lee Hutton want to "expose the M.O. of reality TV" by proving that Kim actually had no intention of staying married to him, but instead wanted bigger ratings for her television show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'. The duo seek to prove their point by asking the judge to allow Tmz.com and other TV stations to beam the trial around the world. Humphries' case has a couple of problems, firstly - he proposed to Kim, and secondly, the publicity has also made him millions. Another big point weighing in Kardashian's favour is that the pre-nup is reportedly hugely complex and accounts mainly for what would happen in the distant future. As Tmz puts is, "Why would she go through the time and trouble of having a long pre-nup if she planned on pulling the plug on the marriage within a few months?."
Kim filed for divorce on October 31, 2011, 72 days after her wedding in Montecito, California. Humphries filed to annul the marriage based on fraud on Dec. 1, 2011.
