You’d think that Nnc would be trying to play it safe after the recent Today show debacle, with declining ratings resulting in Ann Curry’s departure. Yesterday, though, on the anniversary of the catastrophic 9/11 terrorist attacks, which shook the United States 11 years ago, the network failed to mark a moment’s silence in memory of those who died in the tragic incident.

At this point, you may be wondering exactly what they did decided to show, whilst the rest of the ‘Big Three’ networks observed the silence. And you’ll be forgiven for raising an eyebrow when we tell you that they aired an interview with Kris Jenner, during which she chatted about her breast augmentation. According to Politico, a statement issued by Megan Kopf – a spokesperson from The Today show – explained “The Today show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11th coverage this morning throughout the entire show.” That didn’t stop NBC finding itself on the receiving end of some pretty harsh criticism. Its sister station, MSNbc retained its tradition of airing a full re-run of the original footage from the 2001 terrorist attack.

In the interview with Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian family, Kris did her best to convince viewers that the filming of her having her breast implants removed was an educational move on her part. “It’s a health risk,” she explained “it was so important, health-wise to remind women to check your expiration date.” And Nbc, apparently, seem to think that the expiration date of Kris Jenner’s breast implants is a greater social concern than remembering the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
