Kristen Stewart wants Robert Pattinson to be her date for the Met Ball on Monday (06.05.13).
The 'On The Road' actress hopes that the 26-year-old British actor - who she has been dating for almost five years - will walk the red carpet with her at the star-studded event at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art to prove their relationship is back on track after they spent some time apart to contemplate their future while he was filming 'The Rover' in Australia earlier this year.
A source close to the 23-year-old actress told HollywoodLife.com: ''Kristen loves fashion and loves Rob. She would love for Rob to attend the Met Gala with her in New York in May.
''She would love for Rob to be her date at Monday's Met Ball, but she isn't pressuring him.''
The insider said that even if the 'Twilight Saga' co-stars don't attend the event together, they are planning to spend some quality time together in New York ahead of Robert's 27th Birthday on May 13.
The source said: ''Kristen is excited to spend some quality time with Rob in New York.
''They always have fun in the city together and plan on seeing some bands and spending tome with some good friends.''
The couple recently attended the Coachella Music Festival together close to Palm Springs in California and appear to have finally put Kristen's fling with married director Rupert Sanders, which was revealed last August, behind them.
