Kristen Wiig is dating Fabrizio Moretti, drummer for The Strokes. In an exclusive interview with Marie Claire, she reveals that she's on top of the world about her relationship and is happier than ever. "I will say that I'm happier than I've ever been," she says, "and I feel very lucky right now." Why? "Where I am now. Who he is. Those are the two big ones." The 38 year old actress recently ended her seven year role on Saturday Night Live and following the success of last year's hit movie Bridesmaids, she has decided to embark on other professional ventures.
Talking about leaving Snl, she explained "I know a lot of people probably assume, 'Oh, she's leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,' which I will be. But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it. I think maybe if I were 22, I could see myself staying a little bit, but it just felt like the right time." Despite the fact that she had always planned to leave, she says that leaving was still an emotional time for her. "I just wanted to get through it without breaking down in every sketch. Because nothing says comedy like breaking down."
Still, she went out with a bang, and Dave Grohl provided the entertainment for her after-party which wound up with her waking up in the morning with "something small and hard" in her mouth, quickly realizing that she had chipped her tooth at some point in the evening. With Kristen about to embark on a new phase in her career and Fabrizio busy working on new Strokes material, this must be an exciting time for the couple.
