Kristin Chenoweth was rushed to hospital on Wednesday (11.07.12) after being injured on the set of 'The Good Wife'.

The 43-year-old actress - who has joined season four of the CBS drama, playing a political reporter - was hit by a piece of the lighting equipment while shooting a scene on Kent Avenue in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn and taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

CBS Television Studios issued a statement yesterday saying: ''This afternoon, while filming a scene for 'The Good Wife' in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking actress Kristin Chenoweth. She received treatment on the scene by the show's medic until a New York Fire Department emergency medical team arrived and transported her to the hospital. All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery.''

It is believed the injuries are minor although Kristin is thought to have hit her head on the ground when she fell.

According to TV Line, the actress was forced to postpone a magazine photo shoot she had booked For Today (12.07.12).

She has previously starred in 'The West Wing', 'Glee' and 'Pushing Daisies'.
