Kate Hudson will spend Christmas with her ex.

The 35-year-old actress - who confirmed she had ended her engagement to Matt Bellamy after four years together earlier this month - appeared to be in good spirits as the former couple shopped in Boogies in Aspen, Colorado before enjoying a coffee at Paradise Bakery.

A witness told E! News: ''They seemed very cordial. Friends are with them. Kate's brother is there too. Overall, it looks very friendly and not romantic.''

The pair - who have three-year-old son Bingham together - spent last Christmas with the 'Supermassive Black Hole' hitmaker's family in the UK but are believed to have jetted to stay with the 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' star's family for this year's festive season.

Meanwhile, Kate - who also has a child from her previous marriage to Chris Robinson: 10-year-old Ryder - revealed that she loves to spend her Christmases ''traditionally'' in Colorado with her mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell.

She said previously: ''We always go home. I grew up in Colorado and we always [go] back to Colorado. The whole family comes - my brothers and all of the kids and at some point during Christmas we all get together and do that.

''We're [a] super traditional Christmas family. Mom and I decorate the house. We make snowmen - kind of magical.''
