Kylie Minogue has admitted she thinks about retiring at the end of every tour, but can never take a break for longer than a few months before the urge to make music strikes.
Kylie Minogue considers retiring every time she finishes a tour.
The 42-year-old singer - who is in a relationship with Spanish model Andres Velencoso - admits she thinks about turning her back on showbiz, but her resolve only lasts a few months because she is "addicted" to her music career.
She said: "Do I think of retiring? Absolutely. I say that at the end of every tour. And then something happens a few months down the line and I start thinking of songs and getting that itch. What can I say? I'm addicted."
Kylie never expected her career to last as long as it has - but predicts she will still be performing in 20 years.
She added: "When I was 20 there was no way I could see myself touring at 43. I have a terrible feeling I'll be saying the same in 20 years time."
The 'All the Lovers' hitmaker also thinks her current 'Aphrodite - Les Folies' tour will be her best yet, though it has been very expensive.
She said: "There were a few coronaries over the cost but I've been touring for 20 years and I want this to be the most fantastic show ever.
"This is me completely pushing the boat out."
