La Toya Jackson - Sister of the late Michael Jackson and American singer La Toya Jackson, was given the boot on Donald Trump's 'Celebrity Apprentice' on Sunday (24th April 2011). La Toya Jackson was told she was "fired" after fellow contestants Star Jones and Nene Leakes passed the blame for the women's failure to win this week's task, reports the UK's Daily Mail.
The 54-year-old was gracious in defeat, thanking Trump for the opportunity to appear on the show, however, she made her real feelings known outside of the boardroom. The singer refused to acknowledge teammate Star Jones while making her exit and later said, "I think Star Jones is a very manipulative person, I think she's very conniving and she's very evil,' she said during the cab ride home". Previously, Jones had declared that Jackson was the "weakest link" in the women's team, which led Trump to note, "I don't think the team wants La Toya going forward and they know the problems they're going to have beating these three guys. I think it's going to be very tough for you to win, but we have to give you that chance. La Toya, you're fired". The latest task saw the Celebrity Apprentice contestants designing advertising campaigns for Trump Hotels. The women's effort contained several mistakes, including a female model wearing a towel in the bath while sipping from an unopened bottle of champagne.
La Toya Jackson has reportedly finished work on her eleventh studio album 'Startin Over'. The record was originally scheduled for release in 2003 but has since been delayed numerous times leading Jackson to 'update' the sound.
