Lady GaGa and Christina Aguilera put their rumoured feud firmly behind them by teaming up for a surprise duet during the season finale of U.S. Tv talent show The Voice on Tuesday (17Dec13).
The Poker Face hitmaker was booked to perform her hit Do What U Want on the show, but surprised the audience when she was joined on stage by Aguilera after the song's first chorus.
The pair strutted around the stage in matching 1970s-inspired outfits as part of a star-packed installment of the show which also featured performances from Celine Dion, Ne-Yo and OneRepublic.
Explaining the collaboration to host Carson Daly, Gaga said, "Well I was really excited because The Voice called and wanted me to perform on the finale... I said I'll do it, but I want to know if Christina will do it with me."
Aguilera added, "This is the first time we've ever met and I have to say, when I heard she wanted to collaborate I said, 'Of course! Lady Gaga!' I've been waiting to meet her. She's such an innovative artist and a risk taker and as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that."
Two singers were previously rumoured to have been embroiled in an online feud after Aguilera was accused of copying Gaga's look when she launched her 2010 album Bionic. Gaga has previously called the controversy "unfair" and apologised for the comparisons.
