Lady GaGa has confirmed her plans to record a full album with Tony Bennett.

The 'Poker Face' star teamed up with the legendary crooner for the first time last year for a cover of show tune 'The Lady is a Tramp' and the song's success, they are to record a whole album together.

Gaga - who appeared with Tony again this week to sing at US President Barack Obama's Inaugural Ball - tweeted: '''I had the most amazing evening with The President, First Lady & The Whitehouse staff (sic)''

Underneath a picture of her and Tony, she added: '''And here's me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he's my darling! (sic)''

Tony, 86, has previously talked about the project, saying he has already lined up a band to record them.

He said: ''Of all things, Gaga called me from New Zealand and said, 'I want to do a jazz album with you' and I said, 'You got it!'

''We're gonna do a jazz album with Marion Evans, a big swing band, and I'm looking forward to it because a lot of people don't know it, but she's a phenomenal jazz singer.''

A release date for the album has yet to be set.
