Lady GaGa is facing further scrutiny over her music after fans accused her of copying the tune from another Madonna track in her new single.
The Poker Face hitmaker came under fire in 2011 when she was accused of taking the melody from Madonna's 1989 single Express Yourself and turning it into her track Born This Way.
Gaga released her latest song, Applause, this week (beg12Aug13), but many fans have noticed similarities to Madonna's 2012 track Girl Gone Wild.
The speculation has caused a buzz on Twitter.com and among music reviewers, with one critic for the Huffington Post writing, "There is definitely a whiff of familiarity about (Applause). Yep, it sounds like Lady Gaga has been listening to her Madonna collection again. And I'm not talking about 'classic' Madonna either, it's Madge's number 73 errrm, smash, Girl Gone Wild from 2012. Hmmm, we're pretty sure Madonna would see this all as rather 'reductive'."
A 'mash-up' of the two songs has also been posted online and is spreading across the web.
Madonna previously quipped of the Born This Way controversy, "I'm a really big fan of (Born This Way). I'm glad that I helped Gaga write it."
