Lady GaGa was ''nervous'' to unveil the artwork for her new album ARTPOP.

The 27-year-old star shared the images which were created by American artist Jeff Koons with her 40 million fans on her twitter page yesterday (07.10.13), but curled into ''fetal position'' in anticipation of the reception they would receive.

She tweeted: ''FULL ARTPOP ALBUM COVER.'One second I'm a Koons, then suddenly the Koons is me! ' '', and attached an image of her in the nude, clutching her breasts, while a blue ball which was strategically placed covered the lower half of her body.

Before she revealed the picture she wrote: ''full fetal position does anyone else hear the screams in my head #iHeartARTPOP

''I'm nervous&excited to share something that's such a piece of my heart. Something I cherish deeply. A real depiction of my mind through his. (sic)''

The background of the image shows pieces of Sandro Botticelli's classic 1486 painting 'The Birth of Venus', which depicts the goddess Venus emerging from the sea as a fully grown woman.

Gaga - real name Stefani Germanotta - was delighted with the end product and asked her fans to give famed artist Jeff a warm reception.

She added: ''Please welcome Jeff Koons into our family +shower him with love for the the talents he has shared with us. A pure and genuine collaborator.''

The new image will be exhibited on November 10 at the artRAVE ARTPOP's release party, the day before the album is released.
