'What's more shocking', we have often wondered. 'wearing a dress made of sliced meat, or wearing no clothes at all?' Here to assist with this cultural investigation, is none other than Lady GaGa. The singer, also known as Mother Monster, has removed her garments entirely, for a promotional advert designed to boost the sales of her latest fragrance. To be totally accurate, she is not entirely naked, because she is wearing a face-mask. And there are lots of tiny men clambering over her and covering up her naughty bits.
Gaga posted the image on Twitter, unveiling the unusual advertising campaign, shot by Steven Klein. The scent, named 'Lady Gaga Fame' is equally unusual, in that it has been announced as the world's first black scent. It turns clear once it's been spritzed, apparently, for those of you worried about staining your clothes with the new 'eau de Gaga.' According to People magazine, the fragrance "Features notes of belladonna, incense, saffron, honey, apricot nectar, crushed tiger orchid, and jasmine sambac." Gaga was uncharacteristically nervous about unleashing the advert to her fans, telling them via Twitter "I won't lie I'm a bit nervous. its been a while since i've shared some work with you. But i'm so proud of Steven [and] I, we really did not sleep!"
The poster campaign will be accompanied by print ads, as well as a TV commercial to promote her new business venture. The perfume will hit beauty counters in November, by which time Gaga will nearly have completed her lengthy world tour, named the Born This Way Ball.
