Lady GaGa has stated that the only expensive items that she has ever bought with her music fortune were a Rolls-Royce and a heart valve. Lady Gaga has sold over 15 million albums worldwide and is now considered the 18th most powerful person in music, according to the Guardian's list of the top 100 most influential people in the UK music industry.
In an interview with Stephen Fry, she stated: 'The only big things I've purchased are my dad's heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary. And that was only because my dad had a Lady Gaga licence plate on our old car and it was making me crazy because he was followed everywhere, so I bought him a new car'. Furthermore, Gaga claimed that the rest of the money went to merely entertaining her dedicated fans: 'Other than that, I put everything in the show and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the Monster Ball'. Gaga claims that it was a necessary sacrifice for her 'monster' fans that have always resiliently been there for her.
Lady Gaga's third album 'Born This Way' is projected to have sold over 1.25 million units worldwide in its first week alone, according to The Music Magazine. Lady Gaga currently has four singles in the UK Top 20.
