Lady GaGa and Taylor Kinney are raising chickens.

The 'Born This Way' singer and her husband-to-be are excited at the prospect of ''fresh eggs all summer'' and have even built a special house to keep their feathered friends safe.

Gaga posted a photo on Instagram of their birds with the caption: ''Time to lay eggs in the Kinney's Coop! Fresh eggs all summer. We built a beautiful spacious coop to house these happy young chickens!(sic)''

She later added another picture of the birds and wrote: ''Hey LADIES, and one lucky gentlemen (sic)''

And the chickens aren't the only new addition to the couple's household.

Last week, the 29-year-old singer was seen cradling a French Bulldog puppy at a Los Angeles airport, and a few days later she posted a video of the dog playing with her other pooch Asia, who is nicknamed Batpig.

Gaga has previously spoken of her love of animals.

She said last year: ''I love animals. They communicate with us entirely with love, something we all should do. Asia and my love will never be out of fashion -- it is unconditional.''

And the 'Edge of Glory' hitmaker has admitted she loves making gifts and meals for her pets.

She said: ''Asia is very sweet and calm. I adore making her little presents and cooking her homemade puppy food.''
