Lady GaGa's longtime stylist Nicola Formichetti is stepping down as the pop superstar's go-to fashion guru.

Formichetti, who was the creative force behind several of Gaga's most outlandish costumes, including the meat dress she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, insists he can no longer devote his time to the singer now he's artistic director for Diesel.

He tells Women's Wear Daily, "She changes 12 times a day; it's insane... but she's going to be my Bff (best friend forever) forever."

Formichetti has revealed his ex-assistant Brandon Maxwell will take over as Gaga's personal stylist, adding, "I'm always going to be involved somehow, but I cannot do it every day."
