Lady GaGa conjured up memories of Kurt Cobain's iconic gig at Britain's Reading Festival after performing in a wheelchair in Australia on Wednesday (13Jul11).
The outrageous pop star courted controversy Down Under with her stunt at the Sydney Town Hall, recalling the tragic Nirvana rocker's famous appearance in a wheelchair at the 1992 event.
With a black shroud draped over her head, Gaga wheeled herself onstage halfway through her hour-long set, which included her hits Born This Way, Poker Face and Just Dance.
The singer later thanked her fans for their support before hinting at an imminent return to the country.
She told the crowd, "You believed in me. I broke here in Australia before anywhere else so let's celebrate... You are all looking very, very brand f**king new and I promise, I promise I won't ever be away so long again."
