Corey Allen, best known for his role as Buzz in the James Dean starrer Rebel Without a Cause , but who appeared in numerous movies and TV series in the 1950s and '60s before becoming an Emmy-winning TV director and sought-after acting coach, died Sunday at age 75. Allen directed more than 75 TV shows, winning an Emmy for Hill Street Blues in 1983. Allen was the son of famous Las Vegas pit boss Carl Cohen, who famously punched out Frank Sinatra at the Sands Hotel in 1967 after an angry confrontation over casino credit.
