Celine Dion is to release a new fragrance in September.

The 'Think Twice' hitmaker - whose previous seven scents have generated an estimated $40 million sales - will expand her perfume line with Signature, which like many of her other fragrances ,features notes of mimosa blossom, amberwood and sandalwood because they remind the star of her Canadian childhood.

Marsha Brooks, vice president of global marketing, fragrances, for Coty Beauty who produce the perfume, told WWD: "The fragrance category is all about dreams, and Celine Dion has shown repeatedly that she is an icon who touches people.

"Celebrity fragrance franchises generally don't last as long as fashion brands, but Celine has proven that she has incredible longevity in a category where there is always something new. We see our collaboration with her as a very long-term project, and our sales remain very solid."

The scent will be sold in around 50,000 stores worldwide, of which 28,000 will be in the US, and will retail at $16, $27 and $34 depending on size.

The perfume will also be stocked in Celine's Las Vegas boutique, which is described as a "showcase" for the brand.
