Samuel L. Jackson made a Los Angeles news anchorman feel stupid on live Tv on Monday morning (10Feb14) when he confused the actor with Laurence Fishburne.
Top Ktla entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin was setting up an interview with the Pulp Fiction star for the new movie Robocop when he complimented Jackson on his new Super Bowl commercial.
Confused Jackson asked, "What Super Bowl commercial?", before realising Rubin had mixed him up with The Matrix star Fishburne, who debuted a new Kia ad on Tv earlier this month (02Feb14).
As the embarrassed Tv anchorman attempted to gloss over his error and get on with the Tv chat, Jackson raged, "I'm not Laurence Fishburne. We don't all look alike. We're all black and famous but we don't all look alike!"
He added, "You're the entertainment reporter for this station and you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? There must be a very short line for your job."
Jackson then made reference to all the other black actors who currently feature in Tv commercials, insisting he isn't one of those either.
