JAY-Z has urged Amy Winehouse to hurry back into the studio to complete her next album - because he fears the REHAB hitmaker will become as reclusive as Lauryn Hill.
The British soul star has been in and out of the studio since last year (09), when she travelled to St. Lucia to record tracks with producer Salaam Remi, and record label bosses have confirmed her third disc, the follow-up to 2006's Back To Black, will be released in 2010.
Rap superstar Jay-Z credits Winehouse with boosting the U.K. music scene but he hopes her drink and drug problems are firmly in the past - because he'd hate to see her talent go to waste.
He says, "There's a strong push coming out of London right now which is great. It's been coming ever since I guess Amy (Winehouse). I mean (there) always (has been), but I think... this resurgence was ushered in by Amy, that's how I see it.
"(I'm) just praying she doesn't turn into Lauryn Hill and we never get another album."
The former Fugees star received critical acclaim when she released her debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998 - but she's not released a disc of new material since.
