Sharon Osbourne has revealed 'The Osbournes' is to return for eight episodes.

The 62-year-old star admitted her husband Ozzy Osbourne has given the go-ahead to re-launch the reality TV show because he cannot remember what happened on the initial four series - which aired from March 2002 to March 2005 - because he was drunk the whole time.

Making the announcement on 'Loose Women' earlier this afternoon (07.11.14), she said: ''Ozzy has decided that he wants to do another few episodes, not a whole season, about eight episodes, of 'The Osbournes'.

''He said that for the whole three years that we did it he was drunk the whole time. But he would like to do one where he's completely sober, as he is now.''

Sharon revealed the show will mainly focus on her and Ozzy - who has previously battled addiction but has been sober for two years and attends daily Alcoholics Anonymous [AA] meetings - but will also feature their children, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, on a regular basis.

She added: ''[The kids] will come in and out.

''Hopefully [we'll start filming] in January but as I say it's not forever, no more than eight episodes.

''Because it's been 13 years and our lives have changed so much than it's a kind of catch-up, like, 'What are they doing now?' ''

'The Osbournes' was the most-viewed series ever on MTV after its first season.
