Leann Rimes, the American singer best known for her hit track 'How Do I Live', has responded to a user on Twitter who suggested she was "scary skinny", reports Fox News. Leann Rimes, who has faced numerous questions about her weight in recent years, personally 'tweeted' back to the fan who had aired her concerns.
Rimes first made headlines after uploading a photograph of herself in a bikini. The image, taken while she was on her honeymoon in Mexico with Eddie Cibrian, sparked a flurry on Twitter discussions about the singer's weight. One particular follower said, "Whoa, you're scary skinny! Sorry don't mean to offend but that's a lot of bones showing through skin.". The singer-turned-actress hit back at the comments, telling the fan, "those are called abs not bones love. thx but this is my body and I can promise you I'm a healthy girl. I'm just lean. Thx for your concern but no need too be". Back in April 2011, the singer caused controversy after tweeting a photo of her lower half in a yellow bikini with the caption, "First sun!!!!! Spring!!!" Fans immediately began sending messages of concern about Rimes' weight, but the singer once again shot back, saying, "you don't know me, you have NO idea what I weigh or eat, so why should you have any opinion about my weight?"
Leann Rimes was previously married to the backup dancer Dean Sheremet, whom she met at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2001. The couple married in 2002 but divorced in June 2010.
