Leann Rimes has decided to take 30 days in rehab in order to finally battle her problems with 'anxiety and stress' following her 30th birthday milestone.
The country singer's representative, Marcel Pariseau, told People.com in a statement: "LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated". It has only been a day since she celebrated her birthday but she insisted on the website that now is the time to 'emotionally check out for a second and take care of [herself]' in order for her to be 'the best 30-year-old woman [she] can be'. 'All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much', she said. 'I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them.
She celebrated leaving her twenties on Tuesday (August 28th 2012) with a romantic meal at the renowned Japanese restaurant Nobu with her actor husband Eddie Cibrian, who has shown immense support for his wife. 'My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know', he said. 'I will be with her every step of the way'.
