Donald Driver was crowned the winner of 'Dancing With The Stars' last night (22.05.12).

The Green Bay Packers football player and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd earned a perfect 30 from the judges to take home the coveted mirror ball trophy.

Judge Len Goodman said: ''We've had some great footballers on the show over the years. My feeling is, you are the best we've had.''

Donald, 37, called the win a ''miracle'' and compared it to winning the NFL Super Bowl last year.

He said: ''I would have to say it was a miracle. We did what we had to do on the floor, and we knew we had to leave it up to the judges and the fans. The fans made the decision, and the fans loved our freestyle last night. I think the freestyle put us on top, and after that, there was no looking back.

''I think it does [compare to winning the Super Bowl]. It's truly something special. I reached the greatest milestone in my career, and that was winning the Super Bowl. I just made my partner reach her greatest milestone, and now she's 'Dancing with the Stars' champion.''

Welsh opera star Katherine Jenkins, who had been the favorite to take home the trophy after impressing with her routines every week, was runner-up, while Latin actor-and- model William Levy cane third.

Katherine hid her disappointment at losing out on the top spot well, saying: ''I loved [the experience], I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was bigger and better than I ever imagined, something I'll treasure all my life. Donald is a gentleman, and we've grown to love him and his family, so you can't not be happy for him. I'm really happy with second; it's more than I imagined.''
