Leona Lewis will return to the show that made her an international star on Saturday (May 26, 2012). The singer will join The X Factor UK judging line-up at the London auditions at the O2 Arena, reports the UK's Sun newspaper.
Lewis won the third season of the show in 2006, and has since told over 10 million albums worldwide. A source said, "Leona isn't exactly the harshest critic in the world but she has experience of singing - and being on the X Factor". Late on Wednesday evening, X Factor bosses managed to persuade Nicole Scherzinger to join the third London session, after plans for Robbie Williams to do a guest stint fell through. Lewis should slot in smoothly, given that she has already appeared as a guest judge on the Swedish version of the show. Fingers crossed the superstar singer doesn't get booed, like former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell did in Liverpool earlier this week. Alexandra Burke also fell flat with audiences when appearing on the show last season.
You'd be forgiven for forgetting about the 27-year-old singer, who has been spending more time in the United States in recent years. Back in 2009, she swapped her two-bed flat in Hackney, London for a $3 million villa in Los Angeles, according to the UK's Daily Mail.
