George Clooney may have won the much coveted Best Actor In A Motion Picture award at the weekend's Golden Globes - beating out the likes of rivals Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt in the process - but the 50 year-old has come out as a changed man in 2012 and said that he wouldn't be drinking to toast his success - nor would he be for the foreseeable future.
Clooney's 'The Descendants' has been a huge success with fans and critics alike, something that was fully realised at the Globes as the film took home Best Motion Picture in the Drama category, beating the likes of 'Moneyball,' 'Hugo,' and another film Clooney was involved in, 'The Ides Of March.' With its star taking the gong as well you might've expected him to be celebrating with his traditional lucky hip flash, not so though however with the actor revealing, "I've made a little New Year's deal that I wouldn't drink for a while... I'm giving my liver a chance to catch back up."
Indeed it would seem that Clooney couldn't be happier at the moment, with a string of successful recent releases under his belt and a blossoming relationship with former wrestler Stacy Keibler. He'll be hoping to keep his good streak going later this year when his next film 'Gravity' hits theatres.
