Lewis Hamilton hinted he wants to get back together with Nicole Scherzinger by dedicating a race win to her yesterday (28.07.13).

The Formula 1 driver - who agreed to call time on their five-year romance earlier this month - eased to his first victory of the season in the Hungarian Grand Prix at Mogyoród and then made an emotional tribute to 'The X Factor' judge, admitting the moment felt strange without her by his side.

In a post-race interview, he said: ''It's not been the easiest few months. I was just saying that my family have been really supportive.

''It feels a little bit odd without that someone here - but I would say now that these are one of those races you want to dedicate to that someone.''

After the race the 28-year-old star also thanked his 1.6 million Twitter fans for their support following a difficult few months.

He wrote: ''This was one of the most important wins of my career. Hard work, team work & your support brought this. Thank you #F1

''It's moments like these that make life worth living. Goodbye Hungary, thank you for all the love (sic)''

Following the pair's split Nicole, 35, admitted she was feeling lonely without Lewis and has been dining with her staff to keep herself occupied.

She said: ''I don't have anyone here, I don't have my family, I don't even have any friends here. My publicist is my closest friend. It gets lonely but I'm working all the time.

''You just make those sacrifices and they made me feel so at home last year. It is hard but you always make those sacrifices and it's worth it.

''If I'm not doing 'X Factor' I put myself in the studio. I also love good food, so I'm getting to explore lots of different restaurants here. I take my publicist and my assistant as my dates, literally.''
