British rocker Liam Gallagher has shown off his charitable side after raising $64,000 (£40,000) for a children's cancer charity by donating one of his designer T-shirts.
The former Oasis star stunned staff at the Teenage Cancer Trust (Tct) in Newcastle, England on Tuesday (19Apr11) by turning up announced to deliver the gift.
Gallagher gave campaigners a limited edition top from his Pretty Green clothing label, which was then sold for $64,000 (£40,000).
He tells Britain's The Sun, "Those young people are inspirational. I hope this makes a difference and helps raise awareness of teenage cancer. Pretty Green will continue to support the Tct."
