Lil Wayne is set to release a prison memoir.

The 'Lollipop' hitmaker is expected to share his "internal monologue" of transcribed entries from journals he wrote while in prison for eight months at New York's Rikers Island complex on gun possession charges.

'Gone Till November' is set to be released via Grand Central Publishing, under the umbrella of Hachette Book Group, on November 28.

Ben Greenberg, executive editor at Grand Central Publishing, said: "He kept detailed journals of his inner and outer life while he was on Rikers Island, and they certainly tell a story."

Wayne was released from prison on November 4, 2010 and he went on to drop his 'Tha Carter IV' album, which sold more than 850,000 copies in its first week.

Following his release, Wayne said: "I am the same Martian I was when I left, just better. I was never scared, worried nor bothered by the situation."
