Lily Allen has blasted music mogul Simon Cowell after he controversially booted a ten year old girl off TV contest BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT.
Fans jeered Cowell when he was given a casting vote on the live U.K. show on Sunday night (24May09) and opted to ditch child singer Natalie Okri, causing the youngster to break down in tears.
The talent show guru has since been criticised for the decision in the British media - and Smile hitmaker Allen has now waded into the row, branding the hit show "cruel".
In a posting on social networking website Twitter.com, she writes: "Can I just say, I think Britain's Got Talent is verging on child cruelty. That poor little Natalie girl... my god daughter aged 4 was in a hysterical fit of tears. Not cool Cowell."
