British pop star Lily Allen will seal her comeback by performing at the U.K.'s iconic Glastonbury festival next summer (13).

The singer has spent four years in the musical wilderness after taking a hiatus to start a family, but she returned to the spotlight this month (Nov13) with a new single, Hard Out Here.

Allen has now revealed she will seal her return with a high-profile slot at Glastonbury in June (14), which will be followed by a number of other festival dates and a tour.

The Smile star made the announcement during an appearance on Britain's BBC Radio 1, saying, "Can I say something? I have an announcement... I'm playing Glastonbury... It's official. I got the news yesterday... (It's) my spiritual home... I've got a gig before that but that's (Glastonbury is) the first big thing (I'm doing), then I'll do like 16 weeks of festivals and then a tour..."

Allen, who last performed at the event in 2009, is a big fan of Glastonbury and tries to attend every year. She adds, "I've been pretty much every year. It's the best festival."

The official line-up for the 2014 Glastonbury festival has not yet been announced.
