Lindsay Lohan wants to star in a remake of 'Thelma And Louise' with Jennifer Lawrence.

The 'Mean Girls' actress was so impressed with blonde beauty's ''genius'' performance in this year's 'Hunger Games' movie that she is keen to act alongside her in a remake of the 1991 crime drama - which starred Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon as the titular characters - in a similar style to that of 1994 drama 'Natural Born Killers'.

She wrote on twitter: ''Jennifer Lawrence in ''The Hunger Games'' is genius. I want to do Thelma&Louise w/her but ala Natural Born Killers (style wise) 2 girls-2 guys (sic)''

Lindsay - who recently wrapped on TV movie 'Liz & Dick', which sees her play a young Elizabeth Taylor - is currently shooting alongside James Deen in the Bret Easton Ellis-written movie 'The Canyons', which tells the story of hedonistic youths in Los Angeles.

The 26-year-old beauty has channelled a number of legendary Hollywood actresses during her performance in 'The Canyons', which has impressed director Paul Schrader.

In a post on his Facebook account, he wrote: ''Working with her every day on varied scenes, I've been making a mental checklist of classic movie performances she's touched upon.

''There has been a lot of Ann-Margret, some Gena Rowlands and Faye Dunaway and of course some bits of Liz Taylor and [Marilyn] Monroe, as well as a little Rita Hayworth and even Gene Tierney.''
