Lindsay Lohan thinks that her younger sister Ali has learned ''what not to do'' by watching her make mistakes.
Lindsay Lohan says her younger sister knows "what not to do" through watching her.
The troubled actress - who has been to rehab three times and was recently sentenced to three years' probation for stealing a necklace - has admitted she has made so many mistakes it has deterred her 17-year-old sibling Ali from behaving badly.
She said: "She's seen a lot of stuff that I've experienced and she knows exactly what not to do. So she kind of knows better through watching me."
Although she acknowledges she hasn't made the best decisions in life, Lindsay claims that many stories about her are fake but accepts it's all part of being famous.
She explained to Britain's OK! magazine: "You want the attention and you want the fans and you want to be in magazines. But over time that kind of thing can become all it's about. It can harm a lot of people's careers. I've experienced that. People believe what they read."
However, the 'Mean Girls' actress isn't worried about Ali being tempted by Hollywood vices and once said she thinks her little sister is "tougher" than her.
She said: "She's tougher than I am. She has a good head on her shoulders. Maybe it was different for me because I didn't know what to expect and it just happened really fast. I didn't have a big sister."
"If I'm going out late, she'll go home early."
