Lindsay Lohan is in negotiations to become a consultant for French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro - but the move to employ the actress has reportedly angered the brand's top designer.
Lohan is said to be close to agreeing a deal with executives at the House of Emanuel Ungaro which would see her working as a "creative consultant" for the fashion line.
But the decision to sign up the Mean Girls star is said to have angered head designer, Esteban Cortazar, who is reportedly furious about having Lohan attached to the luxurious brand.
A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "Esteban is threatening to leave the company if they bring Lindsay on as a consultant. It has been a revolving door of designers there and if he leaves, his team will go with him.
"Ungaro thinks Lindsay is going to bring the company new energy and new buzz, but she is going to be the nail in the coffin. Nobody will take them seriously ever again."
A representative for Lohan was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.
