One of Lindsay Lohan's leading critics has changed his tune - celebrity drug and alcohol counsellor DR Drew Pinsky has commended the actress for seemingly turning her life around following her stint in prison.
Last year (09), Pinsky, who helps celebrities manage their addictions on U.S. TV show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, took aim at the Mean Girls' unhealthy lifestyle, insisting she would only beat her demons by suffering a "mortal wound".
He told Parade magazine, "I'm convinced that she'll get sober one day. But I'm afraid that between now and then, she may get a nearly mortal wound of some type... I have this image that she's going to lose a limb or something before she does."
Lohan was dealt a blow in July (10) when she was sent to prison before starting a court-ordered rehab stint for violating her probation on a 2007 DUI arrest, and now she appears to have kicked her bad habits since her release last month (Aug10).
And Pinsky is thrilled Lohan is back on the right path.
He tells OK! magazine, "Yes, I think she has finally made the right turn. I am very hopeful that she gets a lot of help and a lot of work."
