Pitbull's legal battle with Lindsay Lohan is heating up - the rapper's lawyer has accused the actress' attorney of plagiarising legal briefs.
Lohan is suing Pitbull for defamation after he rapped about her in his 2011 club anthem Give Me Everything, but the case has taken a bizarre turn after Marcos Daniel Jimenez claimed Stephanie Ovadia stole her arguments from internet reports.
According to the latest court documents obtained by EOnline.com, Jimenez insists Ovadia's latest filing "reflects the frivolous nature of Ms. Lohan's claims".
Citing examples of the alleged appropriation, he states: "Its legal discussion mostly consists of plagiarized (sic) excerpts of articles found on various websites without explaining their relevance to the facts and issues in this case.
"The opposition fails to meaningfully address the arguments raised in (Jimenez's motion to dismiss), does not distinguish a single case relied upon by Defendants, and reveals a lack of independent research."
The Mean Girls star took exception over Pitbull's lyric, "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan," in his hit collaboration with Ne-Yo and began legal proceedings in August (11).
Pitbull, real name Armando Christian Perez, is countersuing and maintains he has the right to express himself creatively.
