Linkin Park rocker Rob Bourdon had to receive treatment for a back injury after playing his drums non-stop during mammoth recording sessions.

The band is gearing up to release its sixth album, The Hunting Party, in June (14), but working in the studio was so fraught it left Bourdon in agony.

He eventually sought out treatment from a chiropractor after spending a week playing drums for 10 hours a day as the band struggled to nail tracks.

Linkin Park's main songwriter Mike Shinoda tells Q magazine, "Rob was killing himself. He played 10 hours a day for seven days straight and blew his back. He had to see a chiropractor."
