After months of speculation, actress Lisa Rinna is officially returning to NBC's long running soap opera Days of Our Lives and will reprise her role as Billie Reed. The former Dancing With The Stars and Apprentice contestant will make her comeback on March 8, 2012, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Rinna received national recognition when she first joined the show in 1992 - playing the role of Billie until 1995 and briefly returning in 2002. She later switched from daytime television to primetime, and played Taylor MCBride on Melrose Place for two years. While details of her returning storyline are being kept safely under wraps, network officials have confirmed that she will share "explosive" scenes with her on-screen mother Kate, played by Lauren Koslow, and former flame Bo, played by Peter Recknell. Confirming the return, Lisa said, "I have done reality shows, talk shows and I thought, what a great way to come back and play a character that I love to play so much. Feels very full circle -- like a new old chapter". The actress, who has starred in over 150 episodes of 'Days', will begin filming the new episodes this week.
Lisa, 48, participated on season four of the Celebrity Apprentice this year but was eliminated following the second task which she project managed.
