The Scottish Live 8 concert is in chaos after fans were wrongly told they had won tickets for the charity extravaganza.

Hundreds of thousands of Scots entered a text (SMS) message contest to win one of 25,000 pairs of tickets for the Edinburgh event on 6 July (05).

But TICKETMASTER, who are organising the bash, blundered and informed losers they had actually won.

The firm have apologised to the thousands of disappointed fans.

Snow Patrol, Texas, Travis and Annie Lennox will headline the gig at the Murrayfield rugby stadium.
